The company kicked off the launch at the luxury Sheraton Djibouti. We are proud that the Sheraton is leading the way in bringing the hotel industry in Djibouti online.”

In the last two months, the hotel booking service has expanded to Senegal, Kenya and last month South Sudan. Its popular rivals include Kenya’s popular SleepOut and Nigeria’s hotels.ng. The competitive industry comes at no surprise. As previously noted, hotel and tourism industry is showing massive growth and high returns.

The company prides itself on its transparency and attention to detail. It wants to create a much more organised and trustworthy portfolio of the great hotels on offer in the countries it operates in.

Managing director of Jovago East Africa Estelle Verdier stated, “We are delighted to be able to bring our customers access to even more beautiful and attractive locations from across Africa.”

Jovago claims to offer the biggest hotel listing on its site and says it will continue to expand and improve its offering. Verdier explains, “These new markets all boast tourist industries with great potential and we intend to support local hotels by giving them visibility on our site to an ever-growing customer base. As Jovago continues to grow, we hope to offer our users the best online customer experience possible.”
