International Women’s Day is just around the corner (8 March). To celebrate, Google South Africa is inviting women entrepreneurs to apply for a Digital Business Manager workshop.

The free two-day course is geared for women who want to learn more about how to best utilise the internet to grow their business ventures. The workshop which will be held in Johannesburg over the 10th and 11th of March will focus on creating a successful web presence, how to market your business using social media, and how to best utilise digital tools.
According to Google SA, it is committed to bringing together people, in its workforce, industry, and on the web. Google believes in bringing people who have a broad range of attributes, experiences, and points of view together. The company believes that differences make people stronger, and produces better, more innovative work.
Core to Google’s mission is equal access to information, which is why it is committed to helping users of all backgrounds and experiences make the most of the web. This is why, when looking at how to mark this years’ International Women’s Day, Google SA decided to embark on this project.
The agenda includes the following topics:
- Inspiring Women in Business Creating a successful web presence
- Marketing your business through social media
- Using Google advertising products such as AdWords, GDN, YouTube and Analytics.
In addition to topics being covered at the workshop, Google SA says it aims to encourage women to start digital businesses and create opportunities for women in the digital business space.
