Designer marketplace Hello Pretty launches nifty embed feature

Hello Pretty

On top of having 1 288 design entrepreneurs on its platform, online marketplace Hello Pretty is launching a nifty new offering enabling entrepreneurs to embed their online stores into their websites as well as Facebook brand pages.

“Social media has become a vital marketing tool — you can’t argue against it’s effectiveness,” head of strategy and social, Lee Geldenhuys says in a media release. “But it can be difficult to convert Facebook likes into sales. With Pretty Portable, fans don’t have to leave the comfort of the brand’s Facebook page to browse their shop.”

Hello Pretty prides itself in having removed most of the administrative features on the site. These include web development, invoicing and payment system management. The store portability feature thus helps designers concentrate on what they do best.

With the portability feature on offer, designers can now reach their customers via four different channels namely Hello Pretty, Hello Man, their brand’s Facebook page, and within their own website.

An online platform for entrepreneurs by entrepreneurs. It’s something we’ve seen before, with MzansiStore, Shopstar and the like giving designers a storefront in the cloud. With clever features such as Hello Pretty’s, it might just stay ahead of the curb of its competitors.

Since it’s inception in 2012, Hello Pretty has served South Africa’s designers with innovative technology, while fostering community and providing them with business mentorship. As it stands, it boasts nearly 40 000 likes on its Facebook page.
