The Slush 2015 event is now accepting applications for its international accelerator program. Chosen applicants will get the chance to spend a week in Helsinki, Finland, with 30 other startups meeting up with top investors and media.
Slush Impact Accelerator is co-organised by the Finnish Ministry for Foreign Affairs, UNICEF, Co-creation Hub Nigeria and other partners.

The programme aims to help startups with skills workshops, networking opportunities, meeting investors, and potential partners. The applicants will also receive media exposure before the event, which includes pre-event mentoring, a bootcamp in Helsinki, and post-event support.

The main portion of the programme will take place 4 to 13 November in Helsinki. If selected, the applications will receive air tickets and accommodation for their stay, and opportunities such as networking and industry matchmaking sessions.
In 2014, Slush ‘s three chosen startups, Truppr, Wecyclers, and VacantBoards attended their Slush Emerging Markets Program, which showcased the best of “Made in Lagos” to the world.
Applicants will need to fulfil certain criteria in order to apply, which from an applicant perspective includes skill and drive. The applicant’s idea should be in its early phase but able to gain traction, have measurable positive impact on people and society, it must be highly scalable with a strong focus, and there are no limits in terms of sector or geographical focus.
Selected applications will pitch their business ideas on 31 July at CcHUB in front of a panel of judges. From there two to four startups will complete a more in-depth assessment and at least 1 startup will be chosen.
