Entries for the 2015 South African Small Business Awards, which aims to celebrate successful small business in South Africa, are now open. Taking place for the past seven years, the awards are hosted by the National Small Business Chamber (NSBC) and sponsored by FNB, Adams and Adams, and Vodacom.
Mike Anderson, the CEO of the NSBC, says that in addition to recognising the achievements of small business owners, the awards also set out to inspire business owners and entrepreneurs to keep striving for success.

“Entry into the South African Small Business Awards is the ultimate recognition for every business owner and entrepreneur. It is the springboard to enhanced business success,” he says in a recent media statement.
This year the awards comprise of four categories which include National Small Business Champion, National Entrepreneur Champion, Woman in Business Champion, and Young Entrepreneur Champion.
Last year’s winners include website-building tool Vigo, domestic service recruitment and training agency Maid4U, Candice van Vooren who’s behind Crystal Garnet Bridal Boutique, design outfit Rarity Handbags, Jade Atrash for Plum Crazy Events.
The awards programme is open to small businesses and entrepreneurs in South Africa and receives thousands of entries every year. It is hugely rewarding to see the recognition and new businesses opportunities that winners of the South African Small Business Awards go on to enjoy, proving that small business can become big business.
Entries for the awards close 16 October and winners will be revealed 5 November at Montecasino in Fourways.
