The first annual Seedstars Africa event will take place on 30 January in Casablanca, Morocco. The event will be hosted by non-profit startup organisation StartupYourLife along with Seedstars World, and hosted in conjunction with OCP Entrepreneurship Network.
The event focusses on connecting 300 African startup founders with mentors, investors, and the startup ecosystem in general. It will also include networking with successful entrepreneurs from Africa, Middle East, Europe and the US.

StartupYourLife is a non-profit organisation created to identify and empower entrepreneurs in Morocco. It has helped startups such as travel parcel shipping startup Sheaply, carpooling platform Carpooli, and Kahenas an ecommerce store for artists.

Seedstars Africa will also be a precursor to the 2016 Seedstars Summit event taking place on 3 March in Geneva, Switzerland. Contestants from the 2015 round of Seedstars World winners will be competing for a US$500 00 equity prize amongst others.
They will also be participating in a three-day bootcamp, which will lead into the final round for judging.
Seedstars World is part of the Seedstars group, which is based in Geneva, Switzerland. The groups aim is to create and develop impactful startups in emerging markets.
