Delvv.io crowned winner of the Ventureburn Pitching Den
Delvv.io has been announced the winner of the Ventureburn Pitching Den. The event took place at the 2016 Innovation Summit in Johannesburg on 23 September.
They will go on to compete in the Startup World Cup in 2017, hosted by US- based Fenox VC, where they will compete for a US$1-million investment prize. The event will take place in Silicon Valley.
Overall, 40 startups pitched over the two-day competition. Thereafter, the judges deliberated over the winner, which was announced at the Innovation Summit.
The competitors pitched in front of a panel of judges and an audience. They were allowed six minutes for the pitch, followed by several minutes of Q&A.
i-Pay won a trip to Finland in November to participate in a slush startup event, sponsored by Tekes.
Mashesha Stove was also awarded a R50 000 prize from the SAB Foundation for best social innovation.
