Two South African transport and logistics startups, GetTruck and Mellowcabs, have been selected to join the first cohort of the the MAN Impact Accelerator which launched earlier this week in France.
The accelerator was launched at the 2017 Global Social Business Summit in Paris on Tuesday (7 November).

The South African startups along with six other startups from India and Switzerland and were announced on the accelerator’s Facebook page three weeks ago. The other startups forming the first cohort (pictured above) include; Crowd Container, StanPlus, Country Delight, Commut, FarMart and Krishi Trade.
MAN Impact Accelerator’s first cohort is made up of eight startups from three countries, namely India, South Africa and Switzerland
Although the zero-equity accelerator will not provide any funding, the eight startups will each get $50 000 in support, including free software, coaching, data services, travel and accommodation.
In addition, participants will get access to MAN assets and services as well as exposure to the Yunus Social Business global impact investor community.
As part of the six-month MAN Impact Accelerator programme, participants will travel to Mumbai, Cape Town and San Francisco with a final pitch day scheduled for Munich in June next year.

The cohort’s next meeting is in Munich next year between 22 and 26 January when they will start the first of five weeklong meetups. Topics that will be covered include team building, purpose and customer development.
