Nairobi Innovation Week will run between 5 and 9 March

Startups selected for the NIW.Startups programme will get access to some of NIW’s partners who include Unicef, Metta Viktoria Ventures, iBiz Africa and Finland’s foreign affairs ministry.

In a press release on Saturday (20 January), NIW planning committee chairperson Tonny Omwansa said he was hopeful that NIW.Startups will be a “springboard for increased collaboration among the many organisations involved.

Other than exposure to the event’s partners, selected startups stand to win a number of funding opportunities, including $10 000 in cash and incubation support from global health impact investor Villgro Kenya, 1-million Kenyan Shillings for the most promising startup by the University of Nairobi and a $5000 people’s choice award.

In addition, NIW.Startups will also benefit from access to investors and media at the event.
