  • UK DIT, Sw7 to hold international expansion event for startups

    The UK's Department for International Trade (DIT) and tech innovation accelerator Sw7 will host two UK 'Deal Makers' to share their experience with local entrepreneurs. The programme will take place from 14 to 18 of November in Johannesburg and Cape Town. The event is designed to help sustainable, early-stage companies and entrepreneurs who wish to expand internationally.   • 20 startups to pitch at fourth Angel Fair Africa

    From 10 to 11 November, 20 startups from nine African countries will pitch at Angel Fair Africa. The event will take place at the Intercontinental Hotel in Nairobi, Kenya. The pitching event is spread across two days. Day one will feature pre-revenue startups, while day two will consist of startups in later rounds of capital funding.     The Cap40 Business Award Gala, to be held at the Radisson Blu Hotel, will bring together both South African and French SMEs and entrepreneurs.     Global pitching competition, Seedstars World heads to Botswana on 4 November 2016 in search for the best startup the country has to offer. Selected startups from the Botswana round of participants stand a chance to receive an all-inclusive trip to the regional summit in Rwanda as well as a spot in the finals in April 2017.
