Enterprise Mobility Africa Summit 2013 aims to engage, inform, network

EMA summit

The 2013 Enterprise Mobility Africa (EMA) Summit will be taking place on the 25th and 26th of November in Johannesburg. The summit’s agenda will explore the impact of mobility solutions across a range of industries, as well as the opportunities, and downfalls, they may create.

The two-day event will see thought leaders from the IT and mobility sectors coming together to address industry challenges such as big data and the mobile platform, and mobility as an enabler for enterprises to become more networked.

The conference will focus on four key areas:

  • Integrating M2M systems and devices into operations
  • Networks and devices: activating the mobile workforce
  • Mobility governance and privacy
  • The future of enterprise mobility in Africa

According to a press release on the summit, delegates will be able to survey a range of solution providers catering to all scopes of business needs over the two days, allowing people to not only discover technologies, but also compare them. For example, featured solution providers include Airwatch and TechMahindra, who will showcase the benefits and pitfalls presented by mobility during interactive workshop sessions.

The summit is designed to engage participation, with Q&A sessions integrated into panel discussions, keynotes and workshops, providing attendees the opportunity to discuss any mobility challenges or concerns they may have in their businesses with both thought leaders and their peers.

Speakers include Sihle Mthiyane, the Head of IT for Thales South Africa, and Neels van Tonder, CTO of Capital Eye Investments.
