VIGO partner to offer SA small businesses site makeovers worth R10k
The Branson Centre of Entrepreneurship and VIGO have partnered to get more small businesses online, giving them an opportunity to win a website makeover worth R10 000.
Launched in 2012, the website builder provides any person, irrespective of trade or background, the opportunity to create their own website for a minimal monthly fee that includes hosting and email.
“This competition is meant to spread awareness about the importance of creating a strong online presence and point out the do’s and don’ts of putting your brand online,” says VIGO founder Carl Wallace.

The initiative is of particular importance to small businesses who can’t afford the costly services of top web developers and instead cut corners or go for quick fixes. “We understand this issue and have created an affordable solution that’s accessible to entrepreneurs everywhere,” the founder adds.
The company further notes that a strong value proposition for VIGO is in its mobile optimisation allowing users to create fully functional, beautiful websites from any device. “Mobile is big business and we understand the value of working on the move.
The competition invites Branson Centre entrepreneurs to post screenshots of their current websites onto the VIGO Facebook page and motivate how their business would benefit most from the makeover. “We are excited to be a part of this initiative and look forward to seeing the transformations that will come out the campaign,” says Gavin Meiring, Marketing and Communications Manager at The Branson Centre of Entrepreneurship.
Five winners will be selected at the end of May 2015 and receive a website makeover. The winners will be announced in June 2015.
