Hurry, Bookmark Award entries close this Sunday!
The annual IAB SA Bookmark Awards reward excellence in the digital advertising space and have, within less than a decade, entrenched its position as one of the most prestigious events on the South African digital marketing calendar. Awards are presented across eight categories that provide an inclusive overview of the best work performed in the local digital space, as determined by a team of expert local and international judges.
Entries for next year’s event, to be held at the Turbine Hall in Newtown, Johannesburg, on March 3, 2016 close on November 15, 2015.
“The categories were determined through extensive engagement with all our relevant stakeholders and expanded to be as reflective as possible of the excellent work that is performed in this vibrant space,” says Josephine Buys, CEO of the IAB SA. “We have taken the feedback from this year’s show into account and opened the floor for any new suggestions. The finalised categories not only represent an extensive overview of excellence in the digital space, but also the latest developments in terms of where the industry is headed.”
“With only a few days left to finalise entries, I would advise entrants to consider the category in which they wish to enter carefully, as the jury is not allowed to move entries between categories after judging commences.”
Each entry must be accompanied by two documents, a one-pager that will be used for filtering purposes during judging, and a results document to prove the success achieved. The online system allows an entry to be created, saved, and edited multiple times before being submitted.
The Bookmarks consists of eight main categories, Platforms, Community, Channels, Emerging Digital Technologies, Publishing, Campaign, Craft Awards for Teams and Individuals, and Special Honours. In total, prizes are awarded in 55 sub-categories.
“Last year’s awards saw a record number of entries and we believe that this year’s event will reflect the growing popularity of the digital medium with even more entries from a growing list of participants,” says Buys. “We have already received numerous strong entries and expect the list to grow before submissions close on Sunday.”
