Ride sharing platform GoMyWay reaches one-year milestone, shares customer experiences
Nigerian ride-sharing startup, GoMyWay, celebrated its one-year birthday of operation on 10 June. The company connects passengers to car-owners who are using the same route or heading for the same destination.
To date, the platform has over 4000 registered users and 30 000 seats offered across 20 different Nigerian states.
“The benefits of ride-sharing to Nigeria, its citizens and the environment are huge. It has also been interesting to see the role it plays in building new connections, which is something we highlighted in our anniversary video,” writes CEO and co-founder Damilola Teidi in a press release to Ventureburn.
“Our goal is to continue to build a wider and more trusted community of ride-sharers, with major presence in key states in the country; and in a not too distant future, roll out to other African countries.”

Customers enter their destination on the GoMyWay website, which then lists the rides available to them. After requesting a seat on a ride, the customer will be notified if their request is accepted. From there the customer pays the driver when collected and rates them as well.
To celebrate the one-year milestone, GoMyWay has released a video documenting some of their customer experiences with the service. It is full of interesting tales from a range of customers, including two who are now dating.
