Callpay to launch first of its kind payment product called Pay Request
Callpay, a leading payment solutions provider, today announced that it will launch its new patent pending product called “Pay Request.”
Callpay developed Pay Request with security in mind, allowing a merchant to send a payment application to any mobile device. What makes this patent pending technology so unique is that a payment can be made in real time without the need of an app or mobile data.
At the point of payment, Pay Request allows a merchant to send a secure terminal to the customer’s mobile device, turning their mobile phone into a virtual card terminal. The customer simply enters their card data using the keypad of their phone. This can even be done while a customer is on a call using their mobile phone and the merchant can monitor the complete process from a web browser. Pay Request requires no hardware or software integration and is a complete stand-alone product. Merchants can now be set up in minutes to accept live payments over the phone.
“As part of our strategy to become a leader in innovative payment solutions, we are excited about the multiple use cases for this technology,” said Callpay CEO JP van der Spuy. “Pay Request is a ground-breaking innovation in telephone payments. We already have some large merchants using Pay Request and the feedback has been incredibly positive.”
Pay Request is now available in South Africa with the intention to scale globally during 2017. The solution is aimed at Airlines, Hotels, Resorts, Guesthouses and any Call Centre accepting payments over the phone. Callpay is a Level 1 PCI DSS v3.2 compliant Service Provider.
