Sw7 Tech Innovation Hub to open in JHB

Hub

Technology accelerator Sw7 has announced it will be opening a tech innovation hub in the northern suburbs of Johannesburg.

The workspace offers flexible packages for entrepreneurs and will serve up to roughly 100 members. Packages range from R1000 to R3500 per person, depending on the duration of stay and quantity of hot desks needed.

Keith Jones, founder of Sw7, has over 15 years of experience in performance management and strategy execution. His experience also extends to assisting tech startups with their analytics to accelerate their growth.

“Being an entrepreneur can be a lonely journey and being part of a community of like-minded people that are grappling with similar challenges is stimulating and uplifting,” said Jones in a press release to Ventureburn.

The Sw7 Innovation Hub will aim to foster better growth of SA’s technology startups

The hub is situated on the Gautrain bus route as well as being just off of the highway, giving commuters easy access to Sandton, Rosebank and the CBD as well as Pretoria.

The hub will feature a fibre internet connection, printing facilities as well as secure parking. By leveraging their corporate relationships, Sw7 will aim to create stronger access to markets for the surrounding community.

“The ideal community member would be a software product business that is post revenue or funded with between one and ten staff members. Our goal is to connect these businesses with the commercial markets, so they need to be ready for this to get value,” continued Jones.

The tech hub will open on 1 November 2016 and will offer flexible part-time and full-time membership with dedicated facilities, such as meeting rooms and catering groups for teams with six or more members.
