Seedstars World heads back to Rwanda
Global pitching competition, Seedstars World heads back to Rwanda for the next leg of their competition on 6 December 2016 and will take place at Rwanda Online’s headquarters.
Travelling to more than 65 countries, the pitching event aims to find the best startup to represent their respective countries at the final pitching event in Switzerland in 2017. Selected finalists pitching in Switzerland stand a chance to win up to US$1-million in equity as well as the opportunity to network with industry professionals and mentors from around the world.
Eligible companies to pitch at Seedstars Kigali need to be less than two-years old and raised less than US$500 000 in funding. They also need to have created a minimum viable product with existing traction and be scalable on a regional and global level.
“Seedstars World is a platform connecting investors to the next generation of startup entrepreneurs, pulling the spotlight from Silicon Valley and Western Europe. Rwanda is the success story of our continent,” said associate at Seedstars World, Selam Kebede.
“In the past few years only, there have been measurable advancements in integrating technology with the day to day life of Rwandans. We have heard so much about the bustling startup ecosystem in Rwanda and we are now here to witness the reality,” he continued.
