Go Ignite: Second call for startups
The Go Ignite Second Global Call is seeking innovative SMEs that have market-ready solutions in the fields of AI, Connected Homes, IoT Security and more.
Go Ignite is established by an alliance of telcos consisting of Hub Raum, Orange Fab, Singtel, Innov8 and Telefonica Open Future. The alliance announced the programme at the Four Years From Now (4YFN) startup and tech event at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.
“We are very happy to announce the second call for the Go Ignite programme. In the telco industry, this programme creates an unmatched win-win-situation. The participating teams can gain exclusive knowledge and fast access to new markets and we get insights into innovative solutions and can create new business opportunities,” said the MD of Hub Raum, Axel Menneking in a press release.
Go Ignite is giving five startups the opportunity to scale and create lasting business relationships
Five winners of Go Ignite will receive mentoring, contacts, office space, event support as well as access to a combined market with over 1.2-billion customers spanning across Africa, Europe, Latin America, the Middle East, South East Asia and Australia.
The alliance will also provide the successful applicants with a two-day training programme with experts in telco, innovation as well as technologies and investment practices.
Through various meetings, the winners will have a chance to form business relationships with four telcos. They’ll also be introduced to the telcos’ “key decision makers” as well as their VC teams.
“Following the success of our first call for startups last year, both in terms of the response we had and our ability to work together seamlessly across our accelerator programmes, this year’s call will see us putting our collective support behind some key areas for our business units,” concluded the startup ecosystem director at Orange, Bertrand Rojat.
