“When our name was announced as the first winner, our hearts tended to jump out. This step comes to us on the right timing while we are opening a short round of funding and we are within the negotiations with angel investors and accelerator programs,” 7keema CEO Amr Nakrn said in a press release.
“Now we feel very comfortable and relaxed and are sure 100% we will get the best valuation for our startup,” Nakrn added.
The Cairo-based startup is one of the first on-demand home nursing services in the Middle East and North African region.
The startup’s online platform — available on both on the iOS App Store and Android’s Google Play — enables users to match with nearby skilled nurses and receive scheduled nursing services at their homes.
By winning the pitch event, the startup won a ticket to participate at the Seedstars Summit taking place in Swizterland next year in April.
Odiggo, an online e-commerce platform which sells car parts came in second while HitchHiker a social network platform that connects shippers to trusted travelers to transport goods came in third.
Edtech startup Skolera and fintech company Vapulus also pitched at the event.
Seedstars World’s next stops in its Africa tour are tomorrow (11 May) in Tunis .
