Quesnay in global call for applications to Female Founders in Tech competition
US-based innovation consulting firm Quesnay has opened applications for its second Female Founders in Tech competition and is calling on women-led startups from around the world to apply.
The competition is aimed at startups with tested insurance products and entries are set to close on 30 July. Tech solutions applicable in the The top three finalists are set to receive cash prizes of $35 000, $25 000 and $15 000 for the first, second and third place respectively.
In addition, the top five selected finalists — set to be announced on 28 August — will get to present their solutions to an audience of judges at a final live pitch event that will take place at the Insuretech Connect conference on 1 October in Las Vegas.

Additional prizes include mentorship from world-renowned industry leaders between 28 August and 28 September, a customised training course on insurance that commences 11 September, and marketing support. In addition, the finalists will also have the opportunity to partner with Quesnay’s corporate sponsors.
In a statement yesterday, Quesnay co-founder and president Jeniffer Byrne said this year’s innovation competition has a dedicated insurance track to address the” gap among women leaders” by recognising and supporting women-led startups that positively impact the industry.
The competition is backed by six insurance companies Farmers Insurance, CSAA Insurance Group, Liberty Mutual Insurance, RGAX, and QBE Insurance.
