Endeavor selects eight African entrepreneurs to join organisation
Endeavor, a non-profit organisation that supports high-impact entrepreneurs around the world, has selected eight African entrepreneurs to join the prestiguous organisation.
The selection was made at Endeavor’s 84th International Selection Panel held in Stellenbosch from last Tuesday (11 December) to last Thursday (13 December).
At the event 25 entrepreneurs in all, leading 18 companies in 15 markets were selected to join Endeavor.
The selection follows a rigorous multi-step process to identify innovative and driven entrepreneurs who are committed to advancing an ecosystem of entrepreneurship.

In a statement last Thursday (13 December), Endeavor CEO Linda Rottenberg said South Africa’s selection process “truly demonstrated” the power, passion and commitment of Endeavor’s global network.
The 25 entrepreneurs that were selected will gain access to comprehensive customised services which include introductions to local and international business mentors and volunteers from Fortune 500 consulting firms who will help them address key needs.
The eight African entrepreneurs selected at Endeavor’s 84th International Selection Panel hail from four African countries, namely Nigeria, Kenya, South Africa and Tunisia. They are:
Nigeria
Jay Alabraba and Tayo Oviosu (Paga): Alabraba is the business development director at Paga, a fintech company he co-founded with CEO Oviosu in 2010. Paga enables consumers to to send mobile money and business to process payments seamlessly.
Kenya
Ned Tozun (d.light): Tozun is the CEO and co-founder of solar energy solutions company d.light which has developed proprietary “PayGo” technology to make these solutions accessible to those who need them most through mobile payment financing plans.
Joshua Sandler (Lori): Sandler is the CEO and co-founder of Nairobi-based Lori Systems, a tech enabled logistic optimisation platform that connects and co-ordinates cargo owners and transporters across Africa.
South Africa
Trent Rossini and Mike Renzon (inQuba): Founding partners COO Rossini and CEO Renzon are the duo behind Johannesburg-based customer experience and engagement software developer InQuba.
Tunisia
Nadhem Boudoukhane (Carthage): Boudoukhane is the CEO and Chairman of Carthage, a Tunisian food and beverage company that exports to North America. The company has patented an innovative method of mass producing beeswax wraps as a sustainable alternatives to plastic food wraps.
Karim Beguir (InstaDeep): Beguir is the CEO and co-founder of InstaDeep a startup founded in 2015 which delivers artificial intelligence (AI) enterprise solutions that tackle challenges around mobility and optimisation through its end-to-end products.
