Gauteng’s Innovation Hub gets new head
Pieter Holl is the new CEO of Gauteng government’s Innovation Hub.
Holl, who was officially appointed last month, replaces McLean Sibanda and was the Acting CEO from June to last month.
In a statement last month, the Gauteng Growth and Development Agency and members of the Innovation Hub’s board, welcomed Holl into his new position.
Prior to joining The Innovation Hub, Holl was the deputy director-general responsible for business regulation and governance at the Gauteng Department of Economic Development, a position he held for eight year.

Before his appointment as Acting CEO for The Innovation Hub, he was seconded to The Innovation Hub to fulfil the role of general manager of commercial operations.
He has held other senior management positions for over 15 years, with management responsibilities which have included legal advisory services, technical and operational functions in key areas for organisational management.
He also served in various oversight committees including board of Gauteng Liquor Board and shareholder representative of the Gauteng Enterprise Propeller, Gauteng Gambling Board and The Innovation Hub.
He holds a Baccalaureus Iuris – B Iuris degrees from Potchefstroom University for CHE and Bachelor of Laws from Unisa, respectively.
