African fintech startups to take part in launching trading at London Stock Exchange

African fintech startups attending Africa Tech Summit London will on 11 June take part in launching trading for the day at the London Stock Exchange, Africa Tech Summit founder Andrew Fassnidge has revealed.

Africa Tech Summit London will take place on 11 June in London.

The summit connects industry leaders, innovators and investors while providing insights from across the continent on mobile financial services, investment, blockchain, digital, payments and lending, scaling and exits, mobility and logistics, as well as the latest trends and innovations.

Some of the fintech startups that have representatives or founders that have been confirmed to speak at Africa Tech Summit London include Jumo, Flutterwave, Branch International, Yoco, BitPesa, OneFi and Lidya.

“African tech takes centre stage in London, and we are delighted to announce that invited African guests will join Africa Tech Summit London to launch trading at London Stock Exchange on the morning of the London Summit,” said Fassnidge.

This year’s summit is also part of London Tech Week which takes place from 10 to 14 June and which will provide enhanced exposure, more opportunities to do business and drive investment between Africa and the UK.

African startups will also have an opportunity to pitch at the summit’s Pitch Live London platform.
