Here are the first 20 startups set to exhibit at the Africa Rail Startup Pavilion
Conference organiser Terrapinn has announced the names of the first 20 startups that have each scored free exhibition space valued at R25 000 a spot, at next week’s Africa Rail summit in Johannesburg.
The conference will be held next week on Wednesday and Thursday (19 and 20 June) at the Sandton Convention Centre, and is the largest gathering of rail and government operators, government entities and contractors.
The startups, which have developed solutions in the rail and transport industry and the free exhibition space is located at the summit’s Startup Pavilion.
Startups and small businesses can apply for free exhibition space at Africa Rail’s Startup Pavilion until 14 June
Terrapinn networking manager Brian Mushongera told Ventureburn in an email last Tuesday (4 June) that the 20 startups that have secured exhibition space at the Africa Rail Startup Pavilion provide a wide range of innovation and solutions.
“We are happy to provide a platform for them to put their businesses in front of over 3000 visitors and gain potential business and partnerships,” said Mushongera.
He added that startups and small businesses in the sector can apply for free exhibition space Africa Rail until this Friday (14 June).

Sensur is an intelligent automotive systems and behaviour analytics provider. From vehicle remote diagnostics to driver behaviour tracking, this company helps provide flexible, reliable and effective solutions on one advanced, easy-to-use platform.
Loadbox aims to increase productivity and decrease inefficiencies in ports terminals, depots and mining yards. The company’s award winning supply chain integration solution connects industry stakeholders under one integrated platform for optimised logistics planning and comprehensive operations management.
TTST Solutions specialises in rail road maintenance, thermite welding, rail distressing, joint bar replacement, rehabilitation road crane and construction of new rail.
AfriTshipi (AFT) AFT is customer management solution (CMS) provider and aims to carve out a niche to become a partner of choice to original equipment manufactures (OEMs) and end-users.
Basadi Ba Dithakga Services specialises in non-destructive testing (NDT) and welding inspections.
LPK Civil & Structural Engineers is a multi-disciplined consulting engineering services company and specialises in the design of road networks, pavement investigations, water and sewer reticulation network, contract documentation, and construction supervision.
