Orange Digital Ventures Africa releases updated Africa Tech Ecosystem database

Looking to make sense of the continent’s tech community? Or simply need information on investors or accelerators that operate in Africa?

There’s a new resource to help you do just that.

On Monday (1 July), Orange Digital Ventures Africa  — a corporate venture fund for early-stage investment — released an updated version of its Africa Tech Ecosystem database (opens as spreadsheet on Google Sheets) in a blog post on Medium.

The database lists active incubators, accelerators, hubs and investors operating in Africa

The resource includes information on incubators, accelerators and hubs that are currently operating on the continent, in addition to information on investors and tech events.

The post, written by Orange Digital Ventures Africa investment analyst Ouis Abdessadok, also includes insights from the fund’s annual review of the continent’s tech scene (see slide below).

The database is the latest in a number of resources that are mapping Africa’s tech community.

Other resources include a series of ecosystem, innovation and tech cities maps by London-based think tank and consultancy Briter.
