CiTi opens applications for Top Tech Tools for Women In Business programme
The Cape Innovation and Technology Initiative (CiTi) is calling on women founders and company heads to apply for its 10-week Top Tech Tools for Women in Business programme.
The free programme, which CiTi is offering in partnership with the City of Cape Town, is aimed at women founders and CEOs from the Western Cape between the ages of 25 and 50.
CiTi said in statement on Wednesday (7 August) that the programme has spots for 35 women, with applications set close on 19 September.

Successful applicants will participate in weekly workshops which will be held every Wednesday at the Khayelitsha Bandwidth Barn.
At the workshops, participants will receive guidance and mentorship from business leaders and industry experts on how to access free technology tools and implement them in their business.
CiTi project manager for enterprise development Nobuzwe Dolopini said the programme will focus on tech enablement and aims to exposes participants to tools like financial management systems, cloud computing, social media and online marketing.
She added that the initiative will provides women with a supportive environment in which to test these tools.
CiTi head of operations for the enterprise development department Mary Faulks said on completion of the programme, participants will submit a technology strategy developed during the programme.
“Post programme, the participants can then implement this into their businesses, not only saving them money, but precious time as well,” said Faulks.
CiTi said over the past two years it has trained more than 200 women through the initiative.
