Top startup events in South Africa, Africa you should know about this week [18/8/2019]
For those in Cape Town, Moya, a new data-free messaging app and content platform will launch on Thursday (22 August) (read Ventureburn’s story on Binu, the startup behind the new app, here).
In Joburg, Startup Grind Johannesburg will hold two website building workshops. The first takes place on Thursday and the second is on Friday at the University of Johannesburg.
Elsewhere on the continent, Kenya is where it’s at. There are a number of fintech and insurtech conferences taking place in Nairobi this week. Rwanda will also play host to the DataHack4FI Finale Data Fest.
