Colouring Outside the Business Box with Siya Metane

Lifecheq is hosting Siya Metane, the founder and CEO of SlikourOnLife, and is a well-known seasoned entrepreneur, publisher, and impactful digital marketing specialist.

Upon making his first R100 000 in the music business as a member of the renowned group, Skwatta Kamp, Siya began to branch out his business interests by investing in his father’s taxi business- a deal that would set the tone for his astute business acumen and management in the future.

Ever versatile, Siya ventured into the world of marketing in 2006 when he started his own music agency which ultimately led to his collaboration with the largescale agency, RE. With a new vision and the industry experience to boot, Siya went on to establish his digital platform SlikourOnLife: an urban culture and music sharing platform that gave a voice to musicians who did not have access to traditional platforms. It would be at the OnLife Networks that Siya would establish himself as a force to be reckoned with both in the digital marketing and entrepreneurial spaces.
