Digicloud Africa named Google Cloud Expansion Partner for 2020
Google has named Digicloud Africa the Google Cloud Expansion Partner of the Year for 2020 in the Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) region.
The company is one of several of the tech giant’s reseller enablement partners in the region.
“It’s an unbelievable honour to be one of the first African-based companies to ever win a Google Cloud Partner of the Year Award.”
The award serves to recognise a partner’s achievements in customer support for the Google Cloud platform and Google Workspace.
“We’re proud to recognize Digicloud Africa’s growth with Google Cloud and their commitment to helping a growing number of customers succeed,” Global Channel Chief at Google Cloud, Carolee Gearhart, said in a statement.
Gearhart added Digicloud Africa demonstrated strong technical capabilities and had scaled its customer operations over the past year.
Based in Johannesburg, the company offers technology and cloud migration solutions to others.
In addition, Digicloud Africa’s services include workspace transformation tools and end-to-end support for cloud strategies.
“It’s an unbelievable honour to be one of the first African-based companies to ever win a Google Cloud Partner of the Year Award,” Digicloud Africa CEO, Gregory MacLennan, said in a statement.
“The past year has brought about a rapid, almost frantic adoption of technology across industries to streamline the necessity of remote working, but also for companies to accelerate digital transformation as a whole.”
MacLennan honoured other resellers who he said were instrumental to Google Cloud’s adoption in Africa during 2020. The companies included Incentro Africa, Dotmodus, and Deimos.
He added Digicloud Africa looked forward to helping other companies adopt cloud technology in the future.
