Go Fetch! brings on-demand delivery to pet owners
No more late-light dashes to the petrol station or the neighbours for dog food. A South African retailer, Absolute Pets, has lifted the veil on its new e-commerce solution allowing consumers to not only order pet products online, but have it delivered within an hour.
Absolute Pets describes its new “Go Fetch!” service as a first for the country’s pet industry. Its brand-new shopping app and delivery service is now available to customers whose delivery addresses are within a five kilometre radius of selected Absolute Pets stores.
Over time, it will be rolled out to include more suburbs across the country, says Absolute Pets chief executive Stephan Warner.
“We pride ourselves on placing our customers and their pets’ needs at the centre of all we do. Our Go Fetch! service answers the call from our consumers to be able to order top-quality, vet-approved items for their pets, which are delivered as quickly as possible,” he adds.
Go Fetch! supplements Absolute Pets’ comprehensive online service. The company’s website and app already offer free delivery on orders over R500, the ability to do click-and-collect orders, and an auto-order service that allows consumers to schedule their orders and automatically receive them at intervals of their choosing.
In addition to these flexible delivery options, the app also allows Absolute Pets customers to manage their orders, view their transaction history, check their loyalty points balance and redeem points.
Absolute Pets has 137 retail stores across the country and has established itself within communities across South Africa as the premier destination for pet products and pet care support.
A key focus for the retailer is matching an extensive quality product offering with advice provided by highly trained staff members, known as Pet Care Advisors, as well as other services such as grooming at their pet spas and pet insurance.
