Standard Bank brings Tapscotts to boost African blockchain
Internationally acclaimed Blockchain leaders, Don Tapscott and Alex Tapscott, have arrived in South Africa to provide insights and guidance to leaders and regulators on how to navigate, anticipate and optimise their transition in the Web3 revolution.
The visit is part of the expansion of the Blockchain Research Institute (BRI) Africa, which was enabled by the Standard Bank Group. BRI Africa provides a collaboration platform for leaders and experts in Africa and beyond who focus on blockchain opportunities on the continent.
During their visit, the Tapscotts will engage with industry leaders, academics, governments and entrepreneurs to explore the potential of Web3 technology and how it can be leveraged for success in African business. The ecosystem engagement sessions are planned to take place in Johannesburg, Cape Town, and Stellenbosch, with a focus on financial services, retail, insurance, and agriculture.
The Tapscotts are highly sought-out global experts in blockchain technology, with Don Tapscott being a leading authority on the subject and participating regularly in Davos and the World Economic Forum. They will provide bespoke research, global insights, access to leading experts, and coordinated collaboration opportunities to leaders navigating the Web3 transition.
