Nigerian foodtech start-up Vendease honoured by WEF
Vendease, a Nigerian foodtech start-up, has been awarded as a 2023 Technology Pioneer by the World Economic Forum (WEF). The WEF’s prestigious annual list recognises companies that are at the forefront of technological innovation and have the potential to make a significant impact on society and business.
According to Tunde Kara, CEO of Vendease, being selected as a Technology Pioneer is an honour and testament to their commitment to solving pressing challenges in the African food sector.

Vendease, founded in 2020, aims to revolutionise the way restaurants in Nigeria and across Africa procure supplies, access financial services, and streamline their business operations. The start-up leverages intelligent data to enable restaurants to access working capital, manage cash flow, and facilitate digital payments. Vendease also provides a range of business operations support, including inventory management, sales analytics, and customer relationship management tools.
