Palladium and Bamboo boost fundraising bonds
In a move set to transform the fundraising landscape, global impact firm Palladium has deepened its ties with asset management arm Bamboo Capital Partners, aiming to bolster their fundraising capabilities.
Palladium has appointed Florian Kemmerich, a veteran in impact investment, to lead its Fund Placement team, while Kemmerich will continue his role as managing partner at Bamboo. This strategic collaboration will not only enhance Palladium’s fund placement activity but also leverage its platform to distribute Bamboo’s funds, fostering innovation and opening new markets.
Under an exclusive agreement, Palladium will act as the placement agent for Bamboo’s funds, solidifying the partnership between the two organisations. By combining Palladium’s extensive expertise and reach with Bamboo’s successful track record, this alliance seeks to accelerate the deployment of capital towards the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals.
Palladium, with a strong presence in over 90 countries, has been at the forefront of mobilizing capital and implementing projects with a lasting positive impact on society, the environment, and the economy for nearly 60 years.
With the increasing significance of the Sustainable Development Goals and the rising demand for investment strategies aligned with them, Palladium recognises the need to bridge the gap between investors and impactful investees. Fund structures and similar investment vehicles will play a pivotal role, and Palladium, known for its prowess in designing and distributing such strategies, is primed to lead the way.
Jose Maria Ortiz, managing director at Palladium, expressed his enthusiasm for Kemmerich’s appointment and the potential for driving tangible change. He said, “His knowledge and experience in impact capital raising and building partnerships uniquely position him to bring about real positive change on the ground.”
Kemmerich himself shared his excitement about heading Palladium’s Fund Placement team, stating, “I am very much looking forward to further growing Palladium’s fund placement business and accelerating the deployment of capital towards the Sustainable Development Goals.”
The collaboration between Palladium and Bamboo marks a natural progression, as Bamboo has been Palladium’s asset management arm since 2020. Their combined expertise and strengthened ties with partners and investors will allow them to attract more private capital and expand their impact investments, ultimately improving the lives of people in the least developed countries.
