French No-Code Pioneer Tinkso Secures Strategic Investment from SA Entrepreneur Henk Pretorius

French no-code development agency Tinkso has sold a majority stake to South African tech entrepreneur and investor Henk Pretorius, marking a major milestone in its mission to scale globally. The deal sees Pretorius acquiring 80% ownership, with original co-founders retaining a minority stake and staying on to lead the company’s next phase.

Founded in 2018, Tinkso has quietly become a heavyweight in the no-code development space, helping startups and corporates alike fast-track their digital transformation using platforms like Bubble, Make, and Xano. The agency holds the distinction of being ranked among the top five Bubble developers globally—and #1 in Europe.

“This is about building the next generation of fast, flexible software delivery,” says Pretorius. “Tinkso’s foundation in no-code gives it a major edge in a market where speed, adaptability, and automation are everything. Traditional development cycles just can’t keep up anymore.”

Though financial terms were not disclosed, the strategic investment will fund expansion into new markets, bolster its remote-first team, and sharpen its go-to-market focus—particularly in fintech, HR tech, logistics, and marketplace solutions.

Co-founder Matthieu Mazzega, who remains at the helm alongside co-founder Vincent Krouwels, sees the deal as validation of a seven-year bet on no-code. “When we started, no-code wasn’t even a term. Now it’s reshaping the way businesses build and scale software. This investment gives us the firepower to push that vision even further—bringing AI and automation into the mix like never before.”

Pretorius, best known for founding and exiting Columinate, now leads investments in high-growth businesses focused on automation, data, and technology. Tinkso marks one of his most ambitious moves yet in the European software scene.

The acquisition was advised by French law firm Lerins, with full due diligence completed across legal, labor, tax, and intellectual property.

Tinkso will continue operating independently under its brand, but with bigger ambitions: becoming a go-to global agency for scalable, AI-powered digital products.
