SA company Striata acquires New York-based Mass Transmit
South African electronic customer communications specialist Striata has acquired Mass Transmit Inc., a US based provider of email marketing tools, services and expertise.
Since launching in 1999, Striata has expanded across the globe, providing communication solutions for financial services, utility, insurance, retail and telecommunications companies from its operations in London, Johannesburg, Hong Kong, Sydney. It also has partners in North and South America, Europe and Asia Pacific.
Headquartered in New York, with offices in Charlotte, NC and London, Mass Transmit’s proprietary technologies include Email Transmit, a professional grade email platform, and Approved Transmit, a B2B2C communications platform, both used by a broad range of companies and industries to produce effective email marketing campaigns and digital business communications.
While the acquisition doesn’t have the sexy flavour that typically gets lots of play in the startup press, it is an important reminder of how well South African tech companies can do in the enterprise space.
