ASENTI entrepreneurship platform to kick off in Kenya
The African Summit on Entrepreneurship and Innovation (ASENTI) will take place from 4-5 November 2016 at the United States International University-Africa in Kenya. ASENTI is a global platform where participating entrepreneurs can display their innovative ideas as well as network with top industry leaders.
This year’s summit will focus on areas such as youth empowerment, social innovation, film, green energy, media, science and mobile technology, intellectual property, finance, and many others.
ASENTI is set to bring together more than 700 delegates as well as over 40 speakers from across the African continent. Delegates from SMEs, African startups, industrialisation stakeholders, universities, NGOs, and more have been invited to attend the summit.

“Our mission is to; transform individual lives in Africa from all economic, cultural and social background for economic prosperity by fostering the culture of entrepreneurship and innovation for a competitive global market,” says their mission statement.
The summit will also be a platform for stakeholders to interact with participating delegates and entrepreneurs. The summit will also offer various breakout sessions with partnering companies.
A startup campus accelerator programme run by ASENTI will also be taking place over three days. 30 startups will be selected to undergo mentorship on strategic planning, digital marketing and branding as well as pitching. 10 of the 30 startups selected will pitch to potential investors at the summit where they could win a full year’s worth of business mentorship as well as find possible investors.
