CT conference to connect African startups to the world
Major business and tech incubator AfricaCom, in collaboration with Ericsson, are set to kick off their AHUB conference in November at the Cape Town International Convention Centre.
The conference, in partnership with leading accelerators and innovation hubs, aims to connect entrepreneurs/startups to successful channels of investment.
At the conference, entrepreneurs are encouraged to share their ideas as well as collaborate and connect with attending angel investors and VCs. Attendees will be given presentations on many topics such as how initiatives are creating opportunities for entrepreneurs, and many others.
The AfricaCom and Ericsson conference is set to deliver plenty of sessions and opportunities for startups
The conference will also feature three days of networking, where attendees can visit investor clinics and check out roundtable discussions. Social mixers have also been organised to take place every day of the conference to deliver a more informal and relaxed way of networking.
Speaking at the key sessions are president and head of region sub-Saharan Africa for Ericsson, Jean-Claude Geha, CEO at project Isizwe & Herotel, Alan Knott-Craig JR, and founding partner of Silvertree Capital, Peter Allerstorfer. Along with the key speakers, 50 other notable businesspeople have been lined up to share their knowledge with attendees.
Some of the other sponsors include micro VC firm Chanzo Capital, venture capital community VC4A, tech accelerator SW7 as well as mobile solutions lab MLab and many others.
