Here are the 10 tech startups that will pitch at Seedstars Abidjan 2018
Seedstars World, one of the largest startup competitions for emerging markets, has announced the 10 startups that will pitch at Seedstars Abidjan next Friday (26 October).
The startup that comes out tops at the pitch event, which will take place at Seedspace Abidjan, will win an all-inclusive trip to attend the Seedstars Summit in Switzerland in April next year, where the startup stands to win up to $1-million in equity investment.
In addition, the winning startup will also represent Ivory Coast at the Seedstars Africa Regional Summit which will take place in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania on 13 December.
A total of 10 startups have been selected to pitch at Seedstars Abidjan next Friday
The 10 startups selected to pitch at Seedstars Abidjan include a startup form Benin and nine Ivorian businesses working in the consumer services, payments and mobility, healthtech as well as edtech verticals. They are:
Afroshop: Afroshop stocks products that are offered at a discount of between 40% and 70% of the average retail price.
Moja Wallet: Moja Wallet’s unified payment interface, along with its mobility-as-a-service platform, helps city dwellers find, book and pay for public transportation.
Tikkeo: Tikkeo’s online event and ticketing platform enables users to purchase tickets online through a mobile money account.
Rema: This Cotonou-based collaborative medicine service enables doctors in Africa, through the Rema app, to collaborate — in real-time — to make better decisions.
Zenapi: Zenapi’s real-estate management software offers real-estate agencies, donors, and shopping centre managers tools and services to manage property assets.
Oschool: Oschool is an elearning platform for students, students and workers looking for inexpensive online training in digital courses, business, art and high school subjects.
Yefa: This web platform centralises educational opportunities, like scholarships, that are available to young people around the world.
Districash: Districash’s Quickcard prepaid Mastercard bank card enables enables previously unbanked users to transact online
Damansah: Using machine learning, Accrah-based Damansah automates business data entry processes, saving client’s time and costs and reducing human error.
Aladain: Aladain has developed SuivEdu, an application which enables parents to track their children’s progress at school.
