Accra-based consumer retail solutions startup KudiGO has closed a $450 000 seed round led by Founders Factory Africa.
KudiGO was founded in 2017 by CEO Kingsley Abrokwah along with Bright Ahedor and CTO Gideon Boateng.
The startup develops user-oriented retail and big data solutions for the consumer retail industry. KudiGo’s flagship product Storefront, is a mobile-based business management suite which includes retail management and accounting modules, non-cash payment processing, as well as artificial intelligence (AI)-powered data analytics.
KudiGO is one of six startups selected to join Founders Factory Africa’s inaugural cohort
Tech publication Disrupt Africa reported in an article last Friday (19 April) that KudiGO will use the funding to expand its customer base and to finance the launch of new products. At least three other angel investors from Ghana, the US and Nigeria were involved in the round.
Abrokwah, commenting in the same article, said the startup now aims to reach 5000 business on its platform this year.
The startup is one of six selected to join the first cohort of Founders Factory Africa‘s six month programme and an investment of $40 000.
