Intelclinic wins #LeWeb startup competition
IntelClinic was named the winner of LeWeb’s startup competition in Paris today following an interesting demo of its sleep mask.
The competition provides startups with an international platform to pitch their companies to technologists, angel investors and venture capitalists for possible funding.
Intelclinic says that it helps people gain more time by lowering the amount of sleep they need to get refreshed and regenerated.
“We created NeuroOn – the world’s first brainwaves monitoring SLEEP MASK – allowing to switch from monophasic to polyphasic sleep, meaning you sleep less and more efficiently,” says the startup.
Here are the other two finalist:
This startup claims to target the college demographic missed by LinkedIn. According to the company around 53% of recent graduates are unemployed but there are many jobs left unfilled. Flinja says it is solving this global problem by providing a platform where students can gain skills and build relevant work experience completing paid projects while in school. Employers, in turn, have quick, easy access to local and national talent they can test out before hiring.
We are in the age of social media overload, really. But never fear, SocialSafe claims to be the social media organiser that enables users to take ownership and control of their social media interactions. The service allows users to download and keep a complete record of all their activity in one place. According to the startup “users’ data is stored privately in their own local personal data stores, making it fully compliant with the major social networks”.
