SAcamera will however reportedly retain its own identity within Kalahari.

“The appetite for online retailing in South Africa, and for quality products backed up by efficient service at the right price, has grown, and continues to grow significantly,” said Jesse Hemson-Struthers, who started SAcamera back in 2004.

He also reportedly said that the deal would enable the business to make use of the infrastructure and resources provided by MIH, Naspers’ investment arm.

According to Hemson-Struthers, the SAcamera management team will remain place.

It’s unclear how much the deal went through for, although it will reportedly allow Hemson-Struthers time to concentrate on his other venture, an online sports betting company called BetTech Gaming.
