Cape Town startup, Ninja Invoice, says that quoting and invoicing should not be intimidating and consume a lot of valuable time. Entering a market dominated by heavyweights such as Freshbooks and Xero, Ninja Invoice’s founder Gerhard du Toit says his invoicing startup’s offering is basic, on purpose.

Ninja Invoice has one standard unlimited plan and claims to be the most affordable premium quoting and invoicing system available — fighting words indeed. Aimed at freelancers and small to medium sized businesses, the invoicing service works under a single unlimited price of US$15 per month for “pro” access which will buy you invoicing, quoting and client management.

Users familiar with content management system, WordPress will feel right at home. The world’s most popular open source publishing platform forms the core of Ninja Invoice. The service uses a basic editor which allows you to specify your primary design elements, add relevant company information to get you quoting and invoicing pretty quickly.

Taking a cue from the best, Ninja Invoice is currently an invite only service, and paid user can also send invites from their dashboard area. The first month is free, so you can can trial the service without any obligations.
