If you have a tech startup, more often than not you are looking for a developer, or you are a developer and would like to network with your peers and perhaps get some help with a particularly buggy piece of code.

If so then, listen up. Aimed at proficient developers, new developers and people who care about developers, with a core focus on coding ‘Craft’ as both skill and passion, PHPSouthAfrica is a two day conference that hopes to help you with your developer needs.

We are noticing a migration from mobile language applications to web based technologies (JavaScript, HTML5,CSS),” say the conference organizers.

Claiming to be the first of its kind in South Africa, the event organisers hope to connect developers with key players in the community as well foster the South African PHP community.

PHPSouthAfrica has been a long time coming. With the increased demand for PHP programmers, not only locally but also internationally, our vision is to marry the latest technologies with international speakers. We are creating a conference that will hone established developers, but also assist up and coming programmers develop and learn new skills.

With speakers from the United States, South African German the conference will run on 4 and 5 October in Cape Town and then move to Johannesburg in February 2014.
