It boasts over 250 000 properties listed which means it recorded a 100% increase on the 100 000 properties that were listed on Lamudi in February of this year.
Aneesa Arshad, CEO of Lamudi East & Southern Africa commented on this impressive growth. “In six months we have grown to a strong global network with over 300 employees across 25 countries worldwide,” she says.
Arshad outlined her ambition for Lamudi in the future, “We want to show everyone how easy it is to find properties online and shape the classifieds market in Africa by offering a superior product.” Like most of AIH-backed startups, the Lamudi marketplace promises a high level of transparency through professional photos, regular updates and detailed descriptions and rankings.
Arshad boasts, “The interest and excitement surrounding our product is great to see and we will continue to build up our services. We want everyone who looks for a new home – whether its individuals, landlords or businesses – to be able to say ‘we found it on Lamudi’.”
“In Kenya, we started with a small core team and have become the number one platform for real estate in the country. We will continue this growth story and develop even faster in the next six months,” says Arshad.
