Livity Africa is a Cape Town based non-profit company that focuses on launching the careers of young South Africa through paid internships and training programmes. They are most widely known for publishing Live Magazine SA, an online and print publication produced entirely by young South Africans.
Digify trainees will go through a three-month intensive programme in a digital agency where they will be taught the ins and outs of digital campaigns, social media, content creation, along with Google modules like Search, Ad Words, YouTube, and Analytics.
Additionally, the trainees will be given professional skills coaching to ensure that they are both job-smart and work-ready for their future careers.
The programme aims to provide a constant stream of diverse, digitally savvy young people to enter the South African workforce. According to Gavin Weale, Livity Africa’s Managing Director, there is a high demand for digital professionals in South Africa. Weale hopes to work with partners in the digital community, like Google and IAB SA, to offer full-time paid entry-level positions to all of the graduates of the Digify programme.
