Want some funding? Net Prophet is looking for startups

Popular Cape Town conference Net Prophet is back for another year. According to the organisers, this year’s event is “gearing up to be better than ever”. A big move for the event this year is its startup workshop, Spark up, which the organisers say “is coming into its own”.

The three day workshop runs for free over the weekend of 16 – 18 May ahead of Net Prophet. According to Net Prophet, it will be facilitated “by a range of seasoned experts, coaches and mentors”. The idea is the take startups through all the elements that they will need to prepare their startup for investment.

Sparkup hopes to get more than 15 startups ready to compete at the world stage by providing them with the basic tools and business understandings that is needed. Net Prophet has been running this workshop for a while in conjunction with the conference and has seem some amazing startups come through it.

Startups who sign up for the workshop also stand a stand a chance to pitch their idea and secure on the spot investment at Sparkup!Live in Cape Town on 19 May. The programme offers around R1-million in investment and allows entrepreneurs to grow their network with like-minded entrepreneurs. Startups that sign up will get the opportunity to work one on one with serial entrepreneurs as well the opportunity to attend Net Prophet. All packed into a 32 hours “action-packed, hands-on experience and coaching by industry experts”.
