Amadeus announces partnership with SAP to improve customer experience
Global travel distribution system, Amadeus, announced a strategic technological agreement with SAP, which seeks to deliver a cloud-based corporate travel solution, including online booking, expense and mobile capabilities.
The new technology partnership will see the integration of SAP Cloud for Travel and Expense solution with Amadeus e-Travel Management. This allows SAP to create a unified user interface with a single end-to-end offering for corporate direct clients and resellers.
“We are delighted to be partnering with Amadeus for our first Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) agreement in the travel sector,” said Chris Willcocks, Director of Cloud and Line of Business at SAP Africa. “SAP already has a strong presence in this industry but this partnership will put us right at the heart of it. By combining Amadeus’ booking technology with our SAP Cloud Travel and Expense solution, Amadeus can now provide corporations with a unique and innovative way to respond to today’s requirements for travel management and business travelers’ expectations.”
Amadeus, on the other hand, will benefit from the fact that it’s extending the capabilities of its cloud booking solution with SAP Cloud for Travel and Expense.
This will enable Amadeus to offer an end-to-end service, from booking to expenses refunding; ultimately resulting in an enhanced customer experience, reduced travel management costs and consistency in policy compliance throughout the entire process and journey.
“We are very pleased with this agreement. Bringing together SAP’s enterprise solutions and Amadeus’ travel technology and expertise, enables us to set a new standard for our cooperation and deliver a unique integrated offering for corporations’ travel management,” said Herve Couturier, Executive Vice President, Research & Development, Amadeus.
