Seedstars World startup competition recently concluded OkHi as the regional winner in Nairobi, Kenya. OkHi has developed an app that aims to solve emerging markets’ concern by lack of physical addresses, both professionally and personally.

Explaining how the OkHi app works (iOS and Android), the site says that you create a free OkHi address on your phone in 30 seconds, then share it securely via WhatsApp, SMS or email, and finally, relax as OkHi does the hard work getting people to you fast.
Runners up include mobile music streaming platform BiGxGh and StudySearch, which is a course matching service for Nigerians seeking education abroad and international universities recruiting in Nigeria.
Mbugua Njihia, one of the Seedstars World judges told Techmoran, “The Seedstars podium finish was an interesting one with a unique mix of verticals attacked by the entrepreneurs. The quality was high and key is that the team constitution is getting better which means the odds of success increase whether for the current business or a future pivot.”
OkHi CEO Timbo Drayson says, “Seedstars World is doing an amazing thing for startups in emerging markets, which have been left out by most startup initiatives. We are grateful that Seedstars is here.”
The startup will now stand a chance of winning US$500 000 in Switzerland where it will be pitted up against other regional finalists. The win follows last year’s Nairobi winner Jooist which is a social gaming network for mobile phones.
