Innovation hub, The LaunchLab, is currently looking for participants in its latest entrepreneurial programme starting 21 July and finalising 25 October. Situated in Stellenbosch, South Africa the hub offers a range of programmes and workshops centered around tech and innovation.

Entrepreneurs who enter will stand a chance to win R15 000 (US$1 500) and will hopefully gain the essential skills to scale their businesses. Some of the themes covered in the programme include testing the market viability of an idea, building a strong team, choosing a business model, drafting a business plan, and of course, pitching your idea to potential investors.
The 14-week programme is described as an action learning orientated experience and consists of four business startup modules provided by Regent University’s Centre of Entrepreneurship, and is facilitated by Mentors and Business Coaches International’s (MBCI) network of internationally accredited representatives.
People interested in the modules can either sign up for them individually or opt for the full programme, in which case they’ll stand a chance of winning the round of seed funding. The cost of the programme is R3 000 (US$300) and there are a maximum of 30 seats available. Financial support is available though on request, thanks to sponsorship from Deloitte and the IDC.
In addition to the Acceleration Programme, The LaunchLab is offering The Idea Generation Workshop, a three-day workshop sponsored by Microsoft BizSpark and presented by Neil Hinrichsen who is the founder of South Africa’s first online company Realtime. The workshop help entrepreneurs to develop viable ideas for new business ventures. It will address the subjects of Idea Exploration, Strategising and Evangelisation. The Idea Generation Workshop will be held on the 26th of July, the 30th of August and the 27th of September.
