We’ve covered Over numerously in the past, listing some inspirational uses of its software, but now the Cape Town startup is launching an all new app dubbed Quick — a free app for adding text to images.

Over’s eponymous app found acclaim and massive popularity Stateside and allowed creative users to add filters, memorable quotes and tinker with the snap. So far it boasts over 9 million iOS downloads.
Quick, as the company (and the name) notes, is more about getting your images out there, quickly.
“People put text on photos to accomplish a myriad of tasks; selling things on Craigslist, making memes, storing ingredients, sending personalized photos to friends and more,” notes Aaron Marshall, CEO of Over on the uses of his latest product.
“We designed Quick with these people in mind. They don’t need a lot of features, they need speed,” he adds.
Of course, the app also includes a Smart Sharing centre, where images can be buzzed up to WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and more. The image can also be saved to the phone, if the user doesn’t enjoy the idea of social media.
The app is available on the Apple Store for download, with an Android version following in the coming weeks.
